Happy New Year to our Art Family, friends and students!
With the New Year comes a new semester of art classes in painting, drawing, papier mache animals, creative sewing, mixed media, and so much more! The 2012 schedule has been updated and posted on the Heidi's Art School website for your convenience.
This past year has been a great year in creativity! We painted in oils, watercolors, acrylics and soft pastels, made papier mache masks and bas reliefs, designed then sewed ecletic book bags, drew in charcoal, pencils, markers, oil pastels, Prismacolor and Pen & Ink, created mixed media collages, jewelry, stained glass art, art journals, costumes, and started a new pilot "Art Studies" class! Whew! And, I'm sure we did more!
Many students entered Family Children Services Annual Youth Poster Contest and Tulsa State Fair and won numerous awards! As the new semester begins, new contest opportunities are here: Air & Space Musuem's High School Art Competiion, NRA Youth Art competion, Mayfest Youth Art Gallery Competition, Duck Stamp Contest, and Natureworks Wildlife Art Competion.
All art classes start back up in January. Don't hesitate to drop me an email, text or call to enroll in any of these classes! I am looking forward to creating with you and your children in the new year!
