Dear Students and Parents,
Wow! That was an amazing amount of snow for Oklahoma! As you know, I cancelled classes due to the snow storms. I also revamped the remaining spring semester schedule.
My hand-painted pillows were received with great enthusiasm on St. Simon Island, off the coast of Georgia, that I found it imperative to visit in early April. I will be stocking up my pillows, attending several art shows and visiting with my old Taos friends that now have the art hut gallery: Firenza by the Sea.
The following is the snow make-up dates and times as well as my revised spring schedule.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: THE 12TH ANNUAL A BLAINE IMEL ART COMPETITION AT TULSA AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM IS COMING UP!
THEME: For their April 30th fundraiser is "An AAmerican Tribute" honoring American Airlines for what they have brought to Tulsa and surrounding community for the last 64 years. Any artwork that incorporates an AA theme might sell well in the Silent Auction at the fundraiser, if the student so desires to sell their work.
If not, this is a great art contest for 9th graders and up in any media (photography, watercolors, pastels, acrylics, oils, pen & ink, charcoal, pencil, Prismacolors, collage, print-making, etc) with many good prizes, and a wonderful celebration for the student artists and their entries. Usually, the theme must have something to do with air and space: rockets, air planes, jets, hot air balloons, portraits of aviation or space heroes, still lifes of gear, memorabilia, landscapes using air and space in the theme, etc, from the past to present.
Thank you!
